The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is conducting this Verification and Validation Process (“VVP”) with the intent to determine a list of bidders who can satisfactorily demonstrate the ability to meet the information security pre-requisites for the project described below. The scope of work is to provide all material, labor, coordination and equipment to replace the following vertical transportation elements:
• Three escalators at Exchange Place Station.
• Two traction elevators and one hydraulic elevator at Exchange Place Station.  
• Four escalators at Newport Station.
• Three hydraulic elevators at Newport Station.

Contracts awarded as a result of a solicitation issued to Verified and Validated firms may be funded in whole or in part by The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Sandy Grant. Accordingly, all Contractors will be required to comply with the applicable provisions set forth in the bid documents, which will be provided to firms that have been Verified and Validated in advance of the solicitation due date (as indicated in the bid documents).

Firms will be Verified and Validated on an ongoing basis up to the solicitation due date (identified in the bid documents), although firms are strongly encouraged to submit their information earlier, by 2:00 PM on September 25, 2017, as it is anticipated that bid documents will be available to Verified and Validated bidders in the beginning of October 2017.  In order to be considered Verified and Validated, all participating firms must execute and submit the required information, Attachment I – Agreement on Terms of Discussion, and Attachment II - Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality Agreement, with their Verification and Validation submittal package.  Participating firms should also execute and submit the Background Qualification Questionnaire as per instructions on the website.
