SPARC KIPS BAY PROJECT
Skanska USA Building extends an invitation to all certified firms accredited by the NYS Office of General Services (SDVOBs), NYS Empire State Development (MWBEs), and NYC Department of Small Business Services (MWBEs) to express their interest in the following project:
Project Overview:
The Science Park and Research Campus (SPARC) Kips Bay Project, on behalf of the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), aims to transform Hunter College’s Brookdale Campus into a state-of-the-art 3-building complex. This development will encompass nearly two million square feet dedicated to modern academic, healthcare, and life sciences facilities, thereby fostering growth in these sectors within New York City. The project includes:
- Deconstruction of existing structures
- Construction of a new 3-building complex
- Expansion of public open spaces connecting with neighborhood areas
- Installation of an accessible pedestrian bridge over FDR Drive at East 25th Street
- Integration with the Kips Bay Coastal Resiliency (KBCR) project
Upcoming Bidding Opportunities:
Commencing in late February 2025, Skanska USA Building will release RFPs on BuildingConnected for the following packages:
- Deconstruction and Abatement
- Temporary Electrical Services
- Site Security
- Trailer and Storage Container
- Rough Carpentry
Further RFP packages will become available throughout this year and 2026.
